What is Churn / DSL Transfer?
Churn refers to the process of changing between two ADSL Internet Service Providers. The
churn process allows people with an existing ADSL service to swap to Funnelweb
and allows Funnelweb to manage the bulk of the changeover process.
For a fee of between $55.00 and $85.00 (please call the FunnelWeb office to determine your churn fee)
for existing ADSL subscribers in place of the regular setup fees Funnelweb will:
- Coordinate with your old provider and cancel your old service, typically
within 3-5 business days after you sign up with FunnelWeb.
- Endeavour to minimise your downtime (typically an hour or two).
If you decide to churn it is important that you do NOT cancel your ADSL service
with your old provider, otherwise the full setup fee will apply.
Please note that there are certain ISP’s and ADSL plans that we are not
able to churn. Please contact Funnelweb to confirm whether or not you are
able to churn from your existing ISP.

Am I able to Churn to Funnelweb?
There are certain ISP’s and ADSL services that we are not able to churn. Please
contact Funnelweb to confirm whether or not you are able to churn from your
existing ISP.

How do I Churn to Funnelweb?
Just complete our application form, and fill in the 'Current ADSL Provider'
box. When you do this it is important that you do not cancel your ADSL
service with your old provider. In order for you to avoid paying the full
setup fee with Funnelweb, you must allow us to conduct the Churn process.
If we are unable to Churn from your old provider, we will contact you and let
you know. At that time you can contact your existing ISP and cancel your
service, and start a new service with Funnelweb.

What does it cost to Churn to FunnelWeb?
Either $55.00 or $85.00 (please call the FunnelWeb office to determine your churn fee), however you must
take into consideration any contractual obligations you may have entered into with your existing
ADSL provider. Your existing provider may charge a fee if you choose to break your contract with
them.

What if I am on contract with my old provider?
Before churning, please make sure that you are fully aware of any contractual
obligations that you may have committed to upon signing up with your existing
provider. Some ISP’s can charge large fees for breaking a contract,
and these are not necessarily avoided when you churn to another ISP.

Can I change to a different line speed at the same time as Churning to FunnelWeb?
Yes, and it doesn't take any longer to process or cause any extra downtime.

Can I use the Churn process when I move from one premises to another?
No. Unfortunately, when you move premises your new phone line will be a completely
new service, even if the number stays the same. As such, all providers
will ask you to pay their regular setup fee.
